At the PJSC "Rosseti" Board of Directors meeting, April 17, 2017, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, a program of modernization of the electric grid complex was approved.

The document includes a number of measures aimed to improve the reliability of power supply and sustainability of the network infrastructure in general, as well as the introduction of the modern Russian developments in the field of electrical equipment.

The program implies analyzing the index of the technical condition of substations and transmission lines with subsequent prioritization of events according to their reconstruction and renovation.

It is planned to review the schedule of the infrastructure of subsidiary modernization, depending on the onset of the critical risks in continuation of operating the existing equipment.

The document has been created in the physical parameters that will enable the existing investment programs to distribute the available financial resources for implementation of priority measures to ensure the reliability of the existing electric grid facilities.

This approach will greatly enhance the management efficiency of the network infrastructure, reduce the loss of electricity to the standard values and reduce the number of technological violations.

As noted by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the decision on the adoption of the program was discussed for a long time, and after extensive consultations with all stakeholders it is now officially approved.
