Dmitry Medvedev gives praise to Rosseti Group investment projects presented at RIF-2017

PJSC “Rosseti” affiliates presented power engineering investment projects at an exhibition within Russian Investment Forum (RIF-2017) launched in Sochi.

Dmitry Medvedev, Russian Prime Minister, visited one of the expositions – the joint exhibit booth by Perm Territory and OJSC “IDGC of Urals”. The exhibition is dedicated to major priority projects of Kama region. PJSC “Rosseti” power engineers were heavily engaged in the implementation of each project. Within the last 10 years the company has provided over 25 billion rubles to the development of the region's grid infrastructure. OJSC “IDGC of Urals” has put into operation 16 new substations with the total capacity of over 600 MVA. The construction of main substations in Perm Territory made it possible to supply power energy to new industrial facilities and solve the problem of power deficiency in several areas, increase investment potential of the region, strengthen the economy of the Kama region and improve its social welfare. All facilities currently put into operation by the company are much-in-demand in Perm Territory.

Three major substations presented at the company’s joint stand gave a new lease of life to several major strategic investment projects of the region, i.e. Kochkino substation with the capacity of 110/10 kW built to develop the Photonika industrial cluster; 110/35/6 kW Chusovaya substation reconstructed for projects of the rapid development territories in Chusovoy; and, finally, 35/10 kW Yurman substation. The project has been carried out as a part of production cooperation with oilmen, engine manufacturers and power engineers. Yurman substation was built in 2016 in Ilyichevsk oilfield area for the benefit of LUKOIL-Perm in order to perform as a main chain for GTPP capacity fueled with associated petroleum gas.

Yet another large-scale project presented by IDGC of Siberia includes providing power supply for winter Universiade-2019 held in Krasnoyarsk. The company's project aimed at modernizing the power grid of the Siberian city was presented at Krasnoyarsk Region’s exhibit booth. Oleg Budargin, General Director of PJSC “Rosseti” saw the project multimedia presentation and discussed the implementation with Mikhail Vasilyev, Krasnoyarsk Region Economic Development and Investment Policy Minister, and Vitaly Ivanov, acting General Director of PJSC “IDGC Siberia”.

During the visit, Budargin noted the significance of construction and reconstruction works both to carry out Universiade-2019 and to increase power supply reliability and quality that will facilitate investment potential of Krasnoyarsk.

Budargin also visited the stand of Saratov Region where, among promising investment projects, the 110/10 kW “Airport” substation was exposed. The power facility will ensure reliable power supply to the new airport complex called Tsentralny, which represents one of the key projects for Saratov Region. With this project on board it will become the key transport center in Volga region, increasing investment potential and promoting development in surrounding areas. The launch of 110/10 kW Airport substation marked the significant milestone of this project.

During the visit to Samara Region exposition in Sochi, Budargin met Valery Radayev, Governor of Samara Region. Vladimir Ryabikin, General Director of PJSC “IDGC Volga Region” also took part in the meeting. During the session parties discussed prospects for region's distribution power grid development.

Lenenergo presented 2016-2020 Central District grids overall modernization project at St. Petersburg’s exhibit booth. The comprehensive development concept aims at equipping Central District with an intellectual power grid based on innovation technology in relay protection digital tools and automatic devices, as well as equipment technical condition remote monitoring tools and grid control systems. Due to installation of up-to-dated equipment substations will prove smaller and safer. Lenenergo also intends to use underground substations to help solve the problem of power deficiency in the historical center of St. Petersburg.
