'Energy Integration of Europe, Russia and Asia - Challenges and Solutions' Panel Discussion of Rosseti, JSC will be held on June 19, 2015 within the SPIEF-2015 'World Economy: New Challenges and Horizons' Section.
It will be attended by the Minister of Energy of the Russian federation - Aleksandr Novak, the Minister for the Development of Russian Far East - Aleksandr Galushka, Bulgarian Minister of Energy - Temenuzhka Petkova, the Director General of Rosseti, JSC - Oleg Budargin, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ABB Ltd - Peter Voser, the Chief Executive Officer of Essar Group - Prashant Ruia, the Chief Executive Officer, the Director General of Enel SpA - Francesco Starace. The rector of the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management - Andrey Sharonov - will be the meeting moderator.
During the panel discussion, the round-table participants will discuss the most pressing issues of national electric power systems integration. Improvement of cross-border solutions efficiency in the electrical energy industry is one of the leading economic trends of nowadays. However, the implementation of integration projects presents a lot of problems and difficulties, including infrastructural and geopolitical ones. An important issue of the discussion will be the detection of a place for scientific and technological progress in the development of new areas of integration, as well as the identification of the role of the state and business in this process.
