Young specialists in power engineering from Russia, China and France met with the Director General of JSC Rosseti Oleg Budargin on May 8, 2015 at the central office of the company in Moscow, within the next stage of the fourth Annual International Youth Forum, held under the auspices of JSC Rosseti.
The meeting was attended by the best young officers of JSC Rosseti, employees of the State Grid Corporation of China and Électricité de France (France), as well as promising scientists from leading power engineering universities of Russia.
"I remain a consistent supporter of integration, which is a guarantee of reliability of the economies for the entire Eurasian continent. But before starting any full-scale integration projects, we need to define general rules and culture of behaviour in a single power system," said the head of JSC Rosseti, answering the question of one of the meeting participants. "We need a unified technical policy, unified approaches and standards."
Speaking about the future of JSC Rosseti, Oleg Budargin noted that the current situation, in which power transmission to consumers in Russia was performed by about 3,000 private entities, was unacceptable. JSC Rosseti can manage all Russian power grids more efficient than the current owners do, he assured. "Everything connected to power transmission is our task and our business."
The meeting of the forum participants with the head of JSC Rosseti was preceded by intense project work at the Skolkovo, Moscow School of Management, by a visit to modern Odintsovo Substation and a tour around the central office of JSC Rosseti, during which the guests could see 'Smart City' Interactive Stand and the Situation Analysis Center of the company.
At the Skolkovo, MSM the teams got acquainted with each other, some details of the projects (realized within the Forum) were disclosed to the participants, general advice from Skolkovo experts (on how to make projects more attractive, how to improve their chances on industrial implementation in future) were offered.
The main topic of the Forum this year is various aspects of integration of national electric power systems. Teams should more accurately identify the trends that will define the development of power engineering within next 25 years, as well as offer solutions for possible problems in the way of the integration.
Tomorrow, on May 9, 2015 the Forum delegates will take part in ceremonial events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. In particular, they will visit 'Moscow Defensive Line' memorial complex and the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War at Poklonnaya Gora. The visit of the participants of the International Youth Energy Forum to Moscow will come to an end on May 10, 2015.
JSC Rosseti always looks to the future and actively attracts young professionals to address key challenges in the electric power industry.
