In the central office of JSC Rosseti there was held a working meeting of the company's representatives with specialists of KEPCO Korea Electric Power Corporation and equipment manufacturers from South Korea.
During the visit, the participants exchanged their experiences in key activities of power grid companies, visited the Situation Analysis Centre of JSC Rosseti and discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the electricity sector. The Director of the Technological Development and Innovation Department - Vladimir Sofyin - noted that JSC Rosseti is interested in studying the experience of foreign partners, including partners from the Asia-Pacific region, on development directions, prioritized for the Russian power grid sector. In particular, the issues of creation of smart power grids, based on innovative scientific and technical developments, were discussed.
In addition, KEPCO Corporation's experts presented the plans for implementation the Smart Grid Programme till 2030, while electrical equipment manufacturers – VIZRO C&C, ENTECENE, Samwha Capacitor, Nexchal, EPSKorea, Metallink, Sundoo и UIT Networks – informed on the latest technical developments.
On the results of the meeting the parties expressed mutual interest in cooperation between the companies, including with the support of the Commercial Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Russia (KOTRA).
