ROSSETI's General Director Oleg Budargin travelled to Pyatigorsk with an official visit to meet with the heads of the North Caucasian Interregional Distribution Grid Company to examine the progress of the comprehensive anti-crisis plan aimed at improving the company's operational efficiency.

ROSSETI's General Director Oleg Budargin conducted an off-site meeting of the Management Board in the Central Federal District with the managers from the company's subsidiary Central Interregional Distribution Grid Company and its branches.

The ROSSETI Management Board held a meeting on August 7 presided over by the Chairman of the Management Board Oleg Budargin. During the meeting, board members discussed a host of pertinent issues related to improving the efficiency of the country's electricity sector amidst the current foreign, political and economic environment; members also agreed to approve the list of primary objectives which will be included in ROSSETI's long-term development program that will be reviewed by the Russian government in September.

In the first half of 2014, ROSSETI's subsidiary LenEnergo has increased the number of fulfilled technological connection agreements by 25%, up to 3,877, as compared with 2013. For the entire Leningrad Oblast, this indicator rose to 38%, up to 3,155 agreements.

Representatives from ROSSETI and the State Grid Corporation of China gathered in Chita for a technical meeting to discuss developing the energy infrastructure in the Zabaykalsky Krai as well as the main parameters of related investment projects. The Chinese delegation also inspected the facilities constructed in the '60s and '70s which need repairs.

By order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the General Director of ROSSETI Oleg Budargin has been awarded with the Order of Alexander Nevsky. The ceremony to honour individuals with the state award was held today in the Kremlin.

ROSSETI has announced its financial performance in accordance with the Russian Accounting Standards for first half 2014: company profits have reached 4,284 million roubles, prime cost amounted to 1,668 million roubles and the Company received 3,012 million roubles of net revenue, which is 15% higher than planned.

ROSSETI has summarised the preliminary results on its program to clear and enlarge overhead power line corridors for the first six months in 2014. During this time, the company was able to clear over 66,000 hectares.
