Board of Directors of IDGC of the North-West Having Approved of Standards on Construction and Operation of Fiber Optic Communication Lines

Total extension of fiber optic communication lines on overhead transmission lines across all the branches of IDGC of the North-West, JSC is equal to approximately 5 thousand km. By decision dated May 23, 2012, the Board of Directors of IDGC of the North-West, JSC approved of the standards on construction and operation of fiber optic communication lines: Standard “Fiber Optic Communication Lines on Overhead Transmission Lines. Rules of Passage through Protective Zones”, “Fiber Optic Communication Lines on Overhead Transmission Lines. Rules of Passage through Overhead Transmission Line Protective Zones”, “Fiber Optic Communication Lines on Overhead Transmission Lines. Terms and Definitions”. Compliance with the documents requirements is ensured by implementation of the unified technical policy of IDGC of the North-West, JSC in the field of construction and operation of fiber optic communication lines on electric power industry facilities.
Total extension of fiber optic communication lines on overhead transmission lines across all the branches of IDGC of the North-West, JSC is equal to approximately 5 thousand km. In 2011 construction was performed out of third-party investors’ funds contributed by way of payment for the passage right (700 km of fiber optic communication lines were constructed in such a way).
