The Enel representatives took most keen interest in the principles and methods of the Pskov Region power industry specialists taking efforts for reduction of commercial losses Representatives of Enel power Industry Company paid a visit to the Pskov Region branch of IDGC of the North-West, JSC. Among the Italian delegation were managers and specialists of the units in charge of business development, engineering and operational activities standardization, grid operation and maintenance.
Pskovenergo branch Director Alexander Timofeyev familiarized the guests with enterprise current activities of the enterprise; spoke of the latter’s organizational structure and investment program implementation. In 2012 Pskovenergo plans to invest 950 mln RUR in the electric power grid complex development, 69% of the sum to be allocated for technical re-equipment and reconstruction, and 31% – for new construction. Credit funds account for 2/3 of the investment sources. This has become possible due to the Company’s switchover to RAB method long-term tariff regulation since January 2011 which envisages a mechanism for invested funs return.
The peculiarities of Pskovenergo branch grid complex management and maintenance are large extension of transmission lines (over 46 thousand km) and the Pskov Region electric energy consumers structure with few large industrial enterprises and a sufficiently great portion of population and agricultural businesses.

The delegation participants familiarized themselves with Pskovenergo grid management system and the dispatcher centers work, visited “Pskov” 110 kV substation and a number of 10/0.4 kV transformer substations in Pskov. The visit was closed with a discussion of the parties’ cooperation opportunities (in particular – in the sphere of smart accounting systems) with Pskovenergo management. The Enel representatives promised to present specific proposal within a two-weeks’ term.
