The project has priority importance regionally and included in the Komi Republic Power Industry Development Program for 2011–2015.Komienergo branch of IDGC of the North-West has commenced construction of a 25 km long “Sokolovka-Pazhga” 110 kV overhead line. For this purpose the branch will allocate over 120 mln RUR. Construction of “Sokolovka-Pazhga” overhead line represents the first stage in implementation of Komienergo large-scale investment project "“Syktyvkar Timber Processing Complex CHP – “Vizinga” substation” 110 kV overhead line" that is aimed at enhancement of reliability of consumer electric power supply in the Sysolsky, Priluzsky and Koygorodsky Districts of Komi Republic. The project has priority importance regionally and included in the Komi Republic Power Industry Development Program for 2011–2015.
Currently, the Government of the Komi Republic is closely considering the issue of shutting down a number of economically inefficient boiler houses in rural areas with the consumers’ subsequent switchover to electric heating. A secondary line leading to the south of the republic will help Komienergo cope with the increasing loads.
“Sokolovka-Pazhga” 110 kV overhead line is to be commissioned in Q4 2012. For 2014 works are planned for extension of “Sokolovka” and “Pazhga” substations. All in all, implementation of Komienergo investment project "“Syktyvkar Timber Processing Complex CHP – “Vizinga” substation” 110 kV overhead line" is scheduled for the period till 2015.
