Deputy General Director for Capital Construction Sergey Titov and Chief Engineer Georgy Turlov have been appointed Chairmen of the Managing Committee and the Workgroup for Management of Critical Investment Projects respectively.IDGC of the North-West, JSC has included 110 kV Sokolovka – Pazhga overhead line with extension of 110/10 kV Sokolovka substation and 110/10 kV Pazhga substation in the list of pilot projects for implementation of a system for project-based management of construction within the Komi Republic territory. In the Vologda Region such pilot projects will be construction of 110 kV Yuzhnaya substation with 110 kV overhead line overhangs to Cherepovets and reconstruction of 110/35/10/6 kV Zapadnaya substation.
The former two facilities were previously announced as likely competitors for the pilot project status. Reconstruction of Zapadnaya substation was added to them. This list was approved by order of General Director of the company dated April 18 of the current year.
A Managing Committee for Capital Construction and a Workgroup for Management of Critical Investment Projects are being created within the Executive Staff of IDGC of the North-West. Deputy General Director for Capital Construction Sergey Titov and Chief Engineer Georgy Turlov have been appointed Chairmen of the Managing Committee and the Workgroup for Management of Critical Investment Projects respectively.
“The new system of operational management and control over implementation of critical investment projects in being introduced for purposes of perfecting the capital construction management process, enhancing construction processes organization efficiency, ensuring operational interaction between all the services of the Company, suppliers and contractor organizations,” notes Sergey Titov. “Project-based management will allow us to minimize the decision passing process per each title, group of titles or program and will determine a person specifically in charge of organization of all the stages of construction operations and completion of the whole array of works in full”.
