Volume of IDGC of the North-West repairs program to make 1.57 bln RUR in 2012 With a view of minimizing the expenditures and increasing the physical volume of works, it is planned to carry out 61% of the 2012 repairs program of IDGC of the North-West using the Company's own resources.IDGC of the North-West, JSC plans that the amount of their repairs program in 2012 will be 1,572 mln RUR (2011 plan having been 1,565 mln RUR). The Company plans to repair 1,967 km of 35-220 kV transmission lines and 6,673 km of 0.4-20 kV overhead lines.
The bulk of the funds under IDGC of the North-West annual repair program (39%) will be allocated for repair of 0.38-20 kV distribution grids. One fifth of the funds will be spent on repair of 35-220 kV substations, 85 of them to undergo comprehensive repairs. It is planned to repair 1,793 items of 6-35/0.4 kV transformer substations.
Within the framework of the repairs program, IDGC of the North-West plans clearing 7,288 Ha of 35-220 kV routes and 6,069 ha of 0.4-20 kV routes. In total, the Company will allocate in 2012 over 212 mln RUR for forest corridors clearing.
“IDGC of the North-West operates over 110,000 km of 6-220 kV overhead transmission lines, the total area of the forest corridors of those stretching across forested localities amounting to approximately 160,000 ha. The average annual volume of forest corridor clearing (for overhead lines of all voltage classes) is 12-14 thousand ha. This enables one to maintain the corresponding normative forest corridors that are in place in a normal operable condition and to exclude occurrence of technological failures resulting from the underwood covering overhead line cables,” noted Deputy General Director and the Chief Engineer of IDGC of the North-West, Grigory Turlov.
With a view of minimizing the expenditures and increasing the physical volume of works, it is planned to carry out 61% of the 2012 repairs program of IDGC of the North-West using the Company's own resources.
