The process of the electric energy guaranteeing supplier change within IDGC of the North-West responsibility zone will neither result in revision of consumer tariffs for electric energy nor affect the reliability of consumer power supply in the Novgorod Region
Since October 1, 2013 IDGC of the North-West, JSC, represented their Novgorodenergo branch, will perform the functions of the guaranteeing supplier of electric energy within the Novgorod Region territory within Novgorodenergosbyt, LLC responsibility zone. A decision to the effect was taken by the Ministry of Energy of Russia (Order No 647 dated September 25, 2013). A decision for the retail energy company to be divested of the status of an actor of the wholesale electric power market was taken by the Supervisory Board of Market Council, NP on September 23, 2013 because of the company having failed to discharge their obligations to pay for electric energy and power and repeatedly violated their obligations to pay for electric energy.
Thus, since October 1, 2013, the whole Novgorod Region territory (except for the territories within the respective responsibility zone of Oboronenergosbyt, JSC) will be defined as the zone of IDGC of the North-West, JSC activities in the guaranteeing supplier capacity.
The process of the electric energy guaranteeing supplier change within IDGC of the North-West responsibility zone will neither result in revision of consumer tariffs for electric energy nor affect the reliability of consumer power supply in the Novgorod Region. The transfer of the guaranteeing supplier functions will enable improvement of payment discipline in the wholesale and retail electric energy market and render such discipline transparent for all the market actors.
