They will act as bodies of public control over regional activities of the enterprise, enable improvement of tariff decisions informational openness, availability of power industry infrastructure and efficiency of operational and investment activities. IDGC of the North-West has established Councils of Services Consumers in each of the seven regions of the power industry company presence. They will act as bodies of public control over regional activities of the enterprise, enable improvement of tariff decisions informational openness, availability of power industry infrastructure and efficiency of operational and investment activities.
“Creation of the Councils is a critical element of objective evaluation of activities of regional power industry market actors,” says General Director of IDGC of the North-West Sergey Titov. “I am sure that it will enable efficient decision-taking with account for all the stakeholders’ opinions. A particular catalyst of objectivity consists in the fact that the Councils in every region are chaired by representatives of entrepreneurs, local authorities and public organizations".
The consumer councils are created in all the infrastructure monopolies by order of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin that he issued following the outcome of the plenary session of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum in June of the current year.
