FGC estimating the cost of creation of an electrical engineering equipment testing center as equal to some 10-12 bln RUR Dmitry Medvedev, in his turn, has found the initiative promising enough. According to preliminary calculations, creation of an electrical engineering equipment testing center will cost 10-12 bln RUR. An announcement to the effect was made by Chairman of the Management Board of FGC UES, JSC Oleg Budargin. There is no such kind of centers in Russia Federation. Dmitry Medvedev, in his turn, has found the initiative promising enough. In his opinion, the fact impedes growth of the domestic electrical engineering industry. “Russian manufacturers have no opportunity to participate in international testing associations (STL, PHELLA) and in elaboration of international electrical engineering standards,” states Oleg Budargin. According to him, creation of such testing center issuing standard certificates following the outcome of testing could establish a barrier restraining influx of inferior quality electrical engineering products into the Russian market.
